Category 5 uses Spam Assassin Technology to reduce the amount of junk e-mail (Spam) you receive.  When the Spam Assassin program suspects and e-mail to be spam, the characters "(Spam?)" are added to the beginning of the e-mail's subject. 

 

So the subject:

"Buy Meds Online"

becomes:

"(Spam?) Buy Meds Online"

 

You can then sort your e-mail by subject and quickly review and delete junk e-mails.  You can even setup a rule in Outlook Express to automatically move these messages to a special spam folder you created for review later.

While no anti-spam technology is perfect, Spam Assassin is widely recognized as one of the best spam detection programs today.  And at Category 5, we never delete or block any of your e-mail.  By adding the word (Spam?) to the subject, we give you complete control over which e-mail gets read and which get deleted.

If you ever find legitimate e-mails getting tagged as spam, forward a copy of the e-mail to service@category5.net with a note explaining what happened and we will update the spam engine to allow those e-mails to pass untagged in the future.
